There may be a short wait before the final climatic chapter - because I haven't even started writing it yet!! I have it plotted out and imagined in my head, but that's a long way from translating it into words. I'll do my best to get it out in the next couple of weeks - so hang in there Sam!

SAM Chapter 11

 

 Chapter 11 is a little shorter than usual. A sort of interlude before the Finale. 

Sam is alone with Paul's Boy - who of course is Andy out of The Retreat and Robbie and Me (both of which you can find in the Books column).

SAM Chapter 8

 Remember Paul from The Retreat (see Books columns right)? Well he's working for the Baron now and is still breaking in young Andy as his personal slave. They're on a visit to the Brigadier and Jack takes the opportunity to show off his pet project - Sam!

PAULO Chapter 13 (Final)

       

Here is the final installment of Paulo's adventures. From orphanage in Spain to slave market in England. Well, I suppose that's the way it has to be. After all, a slave is just a slave.

I hope you've enjoyed this story. It's been a long time telling, but one good thing about this lockdown, it has given me the chance to settle into a whole new routine and I am making good progress on my new story about a quarry slave called Sam. I hope to post the first installment very shortly.  So stand by your cages.

PAULO Chapter 12

I have been suffering from the Lockdown blues - so my apologises for keeping you waiting - or rather keeping Paulo and his friends waiting on the dockside. But here it is. Chapter 12 of 13.

The slave cargo has been off loaded on to the docks at Southampton and all that remains now is for the livestock to be processed through customs.

PAULO Chapter 11

One thing I've discovered with this lock-in is that on the one hand, apart from the one permitted trip outside for exercise or shopping, you have all the time in the world to do stuff - and as a consequence you end up doing more stuff than ever. At least that's what's happening to me. And that's why these postings have slowed down somewhat.

Anyway, I hope you are all well, safe and keeping your distance. Meanwhile - what's been going on inside that slave ship, I hear you ask? Well now's the time to find out.... Chapter 11 has finally arrived.

PAULO Chapter 10

Well - the world has turned upside down since I last posted and like everyone else I have been passing the days in social isolation while this terrible virus does its work - and there's a long way to go yet. I hope all of you out there are keeping your distance from one another and staying safe.

I'm in London and we have just completed our first full week of shut down - no shops (apart from food stores), no theatres, no restaurants (except for takeaway) and no pubs!! My partner is working from home and we are ony allowed out once a day for exercise or to get food. I'm just about getting into the swing of it (it looks like it's going to last at least 12 weeks) and I suppose with all this imposed "spare" time I have no excuse for not getting on with Paulo's story.

By the way, I was checking back over previous chapters and discovered a mistake in Chapter 5. I must have been overcome with emotion when telling you about how Luis had his head shaved - and got him mixed up with Miguel, who is of course Senor Boronda's personal slave (pay attention at the back!) I have corrected the error here and in the pdf version.
